π Note: The majority of employers I've seen do not ask for a cover letter, but some still require them. I've also heard that some design hiring managers who care more about previous work experience love it when candidates send a non-generic cover letter to help them understand a bit of your personality and hear why you want to work there.
Resumes don't really have a spot for this, so it makes sense. Also, some hiring managers are ok with getting this information not as a separate document, but in the body of the email communication, the new age format, of sorts.
